Well, I'm bushed! I spent Monday and Tuesday slaving away in our yard (filling pots with dirt and carrying them back and forth, re-doing some of the brick edging that is falling apart--like most everything else in this house, uprooting the old strawberry bed, loosening up very hard clay-dirt, pulling weeds, planting seeds, etc., not to mention many loads of laundry, school, cooking, and so on). I don't know what it is about physical labor but it nearly kills me. Well, maybe not so much the house-cleaning stuff, but the outdoors stuff. I like gardening in small doses, but eight hours a day is too much for me. I'm no Martha Stewart. Anyway, by yesterday evening I was so dead on my feet I wasn't much more than a puddle on the sofa, so I decided that would have to be my day off. Thank goodness there was no mutual! The only problem is that I'm still tired today...and obviously with the weather the way it is I wasn't gardening today. I did get caught up on some stuff inside though. Hopefully I'll feel less tired tomorrow. Anyway, I REALLY didn't want to exercise today, and in fact I put it off all day. However the fear of the 5K hangs over my head and torments me, so I finally dragged myself downstairs and did my running for today. Once I got started it wasn't so bad. I ran for twenty minutes--woohoo! Not much for most people, I know, but I was quite happy. Then I did my stretches and weights. Now I am off to shower and sleep. One complaint though: I can feel more muscle on my legs and bum, etc., but they don't look any different at all. Grr! You'd think my bum could sag just a little less...
Anyway, as for my other goals, I've been entering most everything in my food journal (some things I can't find and some I've forgotten, but most I've entered). It's been interesting. BTW, just an FYI, but there is no RDA for sugar. That is just their suggestion. Overall I like the calorie counter site, but I do wish they would separate out soluble and insoluble fiber, simple and complex carbohydrates, and natural and added sugars. Oh well. I've also been doing pretty well on my water. But clearly I've been doing absolutely horribly on my bedtime. I haven't made it to bed on time once. Perhaps I need to adjust that? Who knows.
I hope you had fun with your company! And housework better count for something--especially the kind one does when preparing for company. That counts double in my book!
See you tomorrow! :)
