Friday night

Glad to hear the chili mac was a hit. Like I said, it's not my personal favorite, but it's easy and everyone here will usually eat it. Well, you already know I did my two miles for today. I really am so jazzed about it! I kept it at 5.o the whole time, so it took 24 minutes, and while I certainly wasn't eager to go more I wasn't completely dead on my feet, either. The best thing was that I could breathe easier the whole time. I think it was because I did like you suggested and left it at 5.0 instead of trying to go faster some of the time. (Stan is in such a different world than I am when it comes to running. When I told him I'd done the two miles and stayed at a 12 minute pace the whole time he said, "Good! Then next time when you run just put it to 6.0." Sadly he wasn't trying to be funny or smart...just thought it was a good suggestion. Right...because the only way I ran without feeling like I couldn't breathe this time was to not put it at 5.2. Clearly we will not be running the 5k together.) Anyway, after that I did my arm weights and crunches and stuff. Probably good since the donuts I ate yesterday probably don't count as part of a healthy diet, nor the candy I'm eating now. Oh well. You win some you lose some...
